K.C. radio station dials up citizen marketers
98.9FM The Rock, an Entercom radio station, is offering listeners $20,000 to create a TV commercial.
So far: 350 entries, including lots of babies, grandmas and mullets. Thankfully, the mullets are not on the babies or the grandmas. Well, not yet.
The station is also letting listeners vote for their favorites. Two good ideas for creating listener ownership.
A lot of the commercials aren't pretty, but that's the idea.
