iPod My Baby, please
From the people who brought us iPod My Photo comes...wait for it....iPod My Baby. Your baby will love the iPod click-wheel on her onesie.
Launching just six weeks ago, iPod My Baby has had 1,700 orders from 38 different countries. Three retail stores are selling the items, too.
Besides $200 of Google ads, orders have been driven by word of mouth via blogs. Kevin Muoio says more orders resulted from mentions on blogs than when the site was featured in the Washington Post or local TV. The reason?
"You can't click on a TV," he says.

It really is amazing to witness the degree of love people have for these ipods. But I guess it's no differnt than wearing a t-shirt of your favorite band or sports car. And I gotta admit - these things sure are cute.. and I do have some showers coming up... hmmm
How many iPods is sold during the same time via the Apple Store due to the traditional advertising, the use of iTunes and such? Probably tenth of the figures fo Ipodmybaby. It's a problem trying to extract one marketing format and prove it's reliability when the thing is that everything is connected. There is nothing like "traditional advertising only" nor "just buzz". Integration is the hook.
I saw this post and followed the link. I ordered a blue one and a pink one for a friend's dos bebes and another pink one for my own forthcoming female family addition. All three have already been delivered - they're very cute and very cool.
So ya, being mentioned on blog with a clickable hyper-link is a good thing.
