Get over it already
I anxiously await the day when a blogger is no longer charaterized in publications like the New York Times as a "guy sitting in his pajamas drinking beer."
Jeez.
Other blogs that reference Get over it already:

Sorry -- it appears you took the quote out of context. Here, for your edification, is the entire original:
Attempting to draw a distinction based on the medium used by the blogger or reporter is misguided, said Jack Balkin, a professor at Yale Law School (also a blogger). "In 15 years, there may be no clear distinction between reporters on the one hand and bloggers on the other," he said. "It won't just be an either-or, where you have a reporter for The Chicago Tribune on the one hand, and a guy sitting in his pajamas drinking beer on the other."
This statement was not WRITTEN by the Times, only QUOTED. It was written by "one of us."
Ron,
Yes, I was aware that a blogger said the comment that appeared in the Times article. That a university professor made the comment still astounds me.
But I think you missed my point: the fact that the Times included the quote and added NO evidence dispelling this stereotype shows that they are perpetuating it. They could have in a paragraph, or one sentence, said something to indicate that this stereotype is not representative of all or most bloggers. They chose not to.
